上ばかり見て歩いていたら、落としたものに気がつかなかった。

As I was walking around looking up, I didn't notice what I had dropped.

函館のかたち。

楽しいかたちがたくさんありました。

There were many fun shapes.

青函トンネルの音。

函館に来ています。
この季節にしては暖かいらしい。
青函トンネルで、何度かフェードイン・フェードアウトする轟音。
不思議な感覚だった。

I'm traveling in Hakodate, Hokkaido.
It seems to be warm for this season.
When passing through the Seikan Tunnel, loud sounds faded in and out several times.
It was a strange feeling.

景色が凍る日。

冬の間に何度かある、放射冷却で景色が凍る朝。

散歩するのが小さな楽しみ。

顔が痛いけど。

There are several mornings during the winter when the scenery freezes due to radiative cooling.

I have a small pleasure in taking a walk on this day.

But my face hurts.

共有の幸せ。

美味しいと思うものを紹介した。

美味しいと言ってもらえた。

いい時間だった。

A restaurant that tastes good.

I went there with a friend.

I was happy to hear that “it's delicious”.

変わらないものとの再会。

こうして喫茶店で語らうのも久しぶりな気がするな。
いろんなことが変わってしまった。
変わらなかったことを大事にしよう。

I spent time at a coffee shop with my friend.
It felt like it had been a long time since the actual days.
A lot has changed.
Take care of what hasn't changed.

秋の色。

秋の色がいちばん好きでです。

もうすぐ真っ白になってしまう。

ほっとするような、嫌気が差すような。

I like the colors of autumn scenery.

But soon it will turn white.

Relieved, and disgusting.

町は変わるもの、という話。

お祝いごとで、美味しいものを食べる。
温泉に入って、散歩する。
通い慣れたはずの道も、だいぶ景色が変わった。
馴染みのお店は、もうない。
遠くから来た人に話しかけられる。
旅人に聞く、ここのいいところ、よくないところ。
いろんな感情で目を細めた。
星が綺麗な夜だった。


There was something good, so we went to eat something delicious.
After that, I took a short walk and went to a hot spring.
It used to be a familiar town, but now the scenery has changed a lot.
There are no more familiar shops.
On the way, I was talked to by a person who came from afar.
The traveler talked about the good and bad points of this town.
I squinted with multiple emotions.
Anyway, it was a night with beautiful stars.

囲いを外す話。

冬囲いを外したら、窓の外が明るくなった。

洗濯物も、よく乾く。

・・・花粉がしんどい。

After removing the winter fence, the outside of the window became bright.

The laundry also dries well.

・・・The pollen is tough.

裏側、仕組み、いかに。

レコードプレイヤーのベルトを交換。

仕組みはとてもシンプルなんだな。

すべてのことがこれくらいの仕組みならいいのにね。

回って、引っ張って、聴こえて。

I changed the belt of the record player.

The mechanism is very simple.

It would be even more fun if everything had this kind of mechanism.

音メモ 66 - Before dawn -

また、除雪車の音で目を覚ます季節になりました。

夜明け前の音は、家々のスコップやスノーダンプの音。

雪を引きずる音、シャリシャリと歩く音。

今だけの、といってもまたしばらく続く、音。

As usual, I wake up with the sound of a snowplow.

The sound before dawn.

Scoops and snow scoops start singing.

The snow that is carried and my shoes.

Only for now, but it keeps ringing before dawn for a while.

以前の音メモ(14,19)を、もう一度作り直しました。

思い入れがありすぎるせいか、何度作っても、完成しない。

I remade the past sound memo.

This isn't complete no matter how many times I make it, because I have too much strongly feelings for it.

呆れられてても、いちいち夕日に立ち止まるのは、そういう人だから仕方ない。

The person walking with me sighed again.

Because I stop walking to see the sunset many time. 

I can't help it because I'm such a person.

I composed music for “Cultivating Successive Wisdoms” (the exhibition about Akita culture).

月が消えて。

父親が月食が見たいというので一緒に出掛けた。

すぐに飽きていた。

見えてきた星座を教えながら時間を潰した。

一緒にプラネタリウムに行ったことを思い出した。

北斗七星の間を飛行機が飛んでいった。

The father said “I want to see a total lunar eclipse”.

But he soon got tired of it.

I spent the night teaching the constellations that I could see.

I remembered going to the planetarium together.

An airplane flew between the Big Dipper.

4月の一枚、その2。

雪で折れた枝が痛々しかったけど。

こうして咲いているのを見ると感じ入るものがありました。

A branch broken by snow.

A painful view.

But the flowers are in bloom.

There was something I felt.
