今年は手の届かないところばかりに咲いた。
ジャケットの再現はできなかったな。

It has bloomed to an unreachable height in this year.
I'm sorry that I could not reproduce it.

変わらず種を蒔く日々のこと。(sow the seeds as usual)

いつもと違う４月でも、いつも通り種は蒔く。
作業場の機械の擦れる音は、新幹線ホームで鳴っている音に似ている。
目に見える変化は、毎日とにかく風が強いこと。
そして、この季節にやってくる気球がいないこと。

Even in the unusual April, we sow the seeds as usual.
The rustling sound of farm machinery is similar to the sound of Shinkansen platforms.
The change I feel in this town is that the wind is strong every day.
And there are no hot-air balloons that are supposed to come this season.

大きな古びた運動場の前を通る。
子どもの頃に何度か来た記憶がある。
トラックはもう土が見えない。
数人の子供たちが駆けっこをしていた。
咲いている桜を見ているのは、一組の老夫婦だけだった。

I went through a big old playground.
I remember coming here as a child.
The track course was overgrown.
Several children were running around.
Only a couple of old couples were watching the blooming cherry blossoms.

この曲を作ったとき、すごく急いでいました。
信号機の色を眺めながらふと、この交差点で何回信号待ちをしたんだろうと考えました。
早く帰りたいときも、もう少し赤信号でいてほしいときも、ここで信号の色を見ていたな、と。
少し特別な曲です。

私を不安にするものは悪。
私を不快にするものは敵。

そういう考えは怖い。
そこに無自覚な人は、これまで無意識に誰かをいじめてなかったかな。
すべては事象。
できることをするだけ。


“Anything that makes me anxious is evil.”
“Anything that makes me uncomfortable is identified as an enemy.”

Such thinking is scary.
The unconscious person may have been unconsciously bullying someone.
Everything is an unpredictable reality passing by.
We just do what we can.
